Dog Trick of the Day - Learn CRAWL -

Teaching your dog to crawl is a cool trick to teach your dog.  You can place an object on the floor away from your dog and have him crawl to it.
Before starting your dog should know the Down (lay down) command, if not click here.

1. Start with your dog lying down and kneel down in front of your dog.  Show him the treat in your hand then close your hand.
2. Put your hand down on the floor in front of the dogs nose and move your hand towards you and say "CRAWL".
3.  The moment the dog starts to follow the treat and the dog remains down then praise and reward him.  If the dog stands up repeat step 1.
4. Build up distance by waiting until your dog takes several crawl steps before praising and reward.

What To Expect: 
Many dogs are able to begin crawling in their first training session. Lankier breeds will ave a harder time crawling and all puppies and dogs will need to build up strength to crawl farther.
