All Natural Way to Rid Your Dog of Fleas

Fleas are a big problem not only for our dogs but our homes as well.  Fleas live on your dog and feed by biting and sucking the dogs blood.  Now a days there are lot of products you can purchase to combat this problem however, all of these store remedies are poisons we are putting on our dogs.  I have a home remedy that really works and is safe for you, your pet and the environment.  This method is excellent for puppies as using Flea remedies can seriously harm your puppy if used incorrectly.

The Mayonnaise Method:
Items needed
1 jar of Mayonnaise(MUST be Mayonnaise, NO Miracle Whip or other mayonnaise type products.)
2 towels (large enough to rap your dog in)
Puppy or dog shampoo
Flea comb
Newspaper or other item to cover floor or table top area

Directions:
  1. Put a large amount of mayonnaise(enough to cover your dog) into a bowl.
  2. Put down newspaper to cover working area.
  3. Place the dog on the paper.  Take a handful of mayonnaise and start covering the dogs fur from the tail and work your way to the top of the head.
  4. Continue to add the mayonnaise until the dog has a thick layer of mayonnaise from the top of the head, the legs, underbelly, rear legs, private area and tail.  DO NOT PUT MAYONNAISE ON FACE.
  5. Once the dog is will covered in Mayo, wrap the dog up snugly in the towel for approx 2-3 mins.
  6. Check the belly of the dog and you should start seeing dead fleas.  Continue to keep the dog wrapped in the towel for the full time.
  7. Next, it's bath time.  Bath your dog using puppy\dog shampoo, add a bit of dish soap, as it will help to cut the grease.  Repeat 1 or 2 times.  You do not need conditioner.
  8. Last, use the flea comb to go through the dogs fur then brush and groom as usual.
  9. Please Note: Your dog may appear greasy for a day or two after, do not worry this will be gone in a few days.
  10. I recommend using a Lavender dog spray or essential oil or your dog as fleas do not like Lavender and it will act as a flea prevention.

  1. My dog was covered in fleas when I tried this method. After I finished, I could not find 1 flea on her.

If I did not see it for myself I would have never believed it.
